Sage Staggs, licensed acupuncturist

Sage Staggs, Lac.

Like the dance between the moon and the tides, humans experience and respond to the ebb and flow of the energy in our environment .  As a practitioner of Chinese medicine, I support your harmonious relationship with the elements so that you can experience more ease and freedom in your body and spirit.

Born and raised on the west coast, I was introduced to holistic healing at a young age and I have always strived for meaningful and impactful ways to serve my community.  For years I studied yoga, nutrition, western herbalism, meditation, and massage. After immersion in these holistic practices, I ultimately chose to deepen my studies in Chinese medicine, having found its philosophy and practices the most effective for addressing a broad array of health concerns.  In 2014, I completed a masters degree in Chinese medicine at ACTCM in San Francisco and became a California licensed acupuncturist.  I continue to deepen my understanding of healing through taking postgraduate courses in classical Chinese herbal medicine focused on fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum.

Healing is not a linear process, and there is no one-size-fits-all template.   Chinese medicine theory helps me to assess and treat individuals based on their own personal constellation of signs and symptoms, not according to rote protocols.  I offer body-positive, trauma-aware care, and I have experience working with reproductive health for folks anywhere on the gender spectrum.  I take time to listen to your needs and devise a personalized treatment plan that will address your concerns in a way that’s achievable.  I am always learning and humbled to be a witness to my patients’ transformation.

I have a private practice Monday- Thursday in downtown Sebastopol at 450 Pitt Ave.

I am a mother, wife, cat-mom, cook, and meditator, with a love of nature and music.

I came in to see Sage because of her expertise in Women’s Health. I had recently gotten a diagnosis of cervical dysplasia and I knew that Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture could support my body in healing from it. Sage was so helpful in coming up with a treatment plan for me that included acupuncture and herbs. She has a very grounded and compassionate presence which she always brought to our treatments. I’m so happy that I pursued treatment with Sage and an alternative, holistic approach. I got great news at my last appointment with my OBGYN that my cervical dysplasia regressed and that my body had completely cleared HPV (which causes cervical dysplasia)! Highly recommend!
