Chronic Pain

Living with pain is exhausting, and while pharmaceuticals can provide relief from symptoms, they rarely address the problem at the root.  Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can interrupt the cycle of pain by addressing the constitutional imbalance at play.  If a condition is relatively new, like a strained muscle, acupuncture can address the pain within a few treatments.  More chronic conditions will require a longer treatment plan, often including herbal medicine and lifestyle and dietary adjustments to bring the body back into a state of harmony.

Some, but not all conditions that are treated by Sage Staggs:

  • Back pain

  • Headaches

  • Injuries

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Arthritis

I began seeing Sage about a year ago and I am so glad I did! During that time I sustained a shoulder injury, which was very painful and severely limited my range of motion. Sage gave me so many helpful treatments, from herbs to acupuncture to cupping, and my shoulder is now healing nicely. She listens thoughtfully to what is going on with me each week and offers compassionate, nonjudgmental advice. She is also just a rad person to be around, and I always leave the treatments feeling relaxed and refreshed.
